4 Days Till Christmas!

Only 4 more long days till Ryan and I are back home!

Day 22:

Last night Ryan and I watched the cartoon of "Frosty The Snowman".

I don't know why but this movie has never been one of my favorites; however last night I thought I would give it one last chance to help make my holiday a little more jolly.  Sadly to say it didn't really do anything for me which is odd because when it come to Christmas movies I pretty much love just about anything.  Who knows maybe this one is too "new" or something for me.

I have never found the snowman to be really my type of snowman and I have always found the little kids to be ugly and annoying.  I love the animation style of Rudolph, Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, the Grinch, and those types of movies.  I guess I just need to give up on this movie and come to peace with the fact I will never like it.

I did however falling in love with the next movie we watched, Letters to Juliet.

This movie was great because sadly I was not fully focused yet I still could keep up with what was going on. It was the perfect chick flick to watch on a lazy night when you just want to make that gray matter in your head called a brain just a little squishier.   It was the perfecter more for me as I tried to knock out a few last minute Christmas things with Ryan while enjoying some Irish Hot Coco.

The plot of the movie is pretty simple, girl loves boy, boy loves girl they get engaged; however girl finds out she doesn't love boy and falls for a new man.  Along the way the girl helps the new said "lover boy" and his grandma.   They are trying to find the love of the grandmothers life that she let slip away years ago and in the mean time the girl falls in love with her grandson and comes to find out she needs to take her own advice and go for it with him.

I wont lie the movie is full of cliches and cheese ball lines but that is not new when it comes to the world of chick flicks and it is an easily a movie for any hopeless romantic.  Anyone that is looking for the meanings to life, or a deep thought out plot should skip over this movie choice and maybe go read a book instead.

Hi Megan, Merry Christmas almost! I'm sure you are busy getting ready for your trip home. I have been crazy busy also but I am following your blog and all your adventures. Loved the Ryan and the sharks post - very cool. And I love, love, love the blue tree. I've seen pink and white, but never blue. The window palm tree is cool too. Have a safe trip home and Happy New Year!
Love, Julie
